That's too bad... I guess the theory about toxic release from a loss seems like the most plausible since you have plenty of waterflow and parameters seem sound...

Sorry... will be interested in what you find out

+1 Also, using a bucket that may have had bleach in it wouldn't do anything as the bleach would have had plenty of time to evaporate unless she used the bucket to top off your tank immediately after she used it to clean something.

well good to know about bleach but I ruled out any poison cause coral made it fine. I think it may have to do with temp. but not sure 100%

Really don't think it was the temp. 81 is not really that high unless u had a lot of fish in yer tank and they ran out of o2... Poison sounds more likely to me. What did the dead fish look like? How many were there? Was is yer 36 or 75

I don't think it could be poison if it was it would have to be poison the corals are immune to.
It could be allot of things internal parasites disease, it can be hard to diagnose these things if there are no signs.

Temp would have also taken out the Coral long before the fish

well what disease would kill all fish in a day and show now signs on fish. polyup extention was poor that day but could have been a nitrate spike for decaying fish.
