    Can anybody tell me who treats there water with baking soda, is it a normal thing for some corals to close up for a while after doseing?

    Hi Stingray , IME any changes can cause coral to close up for a while, changes in water parameters and even a simple thing like lifting the light unit to scrape the glass, do a water change etc

    provided you do these additions in stages , dont make to much of a change in any parameter at any one time, your corals may well be back to normal before you read this post
