My alkalinity has always been 7.00, i tested it today and its a low 6.1, my make up ro water is 9.00, i treat it with kalkwasser and reef advantage magnesium, since i added my top up water the ph has risen from 8.0ppm to 8.2ppm the alk has stayed the same, i thought a rise in ph would also mean a rise in alk, need help figureing out what i'm doing wrong mag in the tank is 1140 and calium 390.

    Thanks

Damn dude, all your levels are low. Is that a Fish only tank? If it's a reef tank, than you need to bump up all your levels.
Bump up your Magnesium first up to at least 1400 by adding epsom salt - you can do this all at once. If it's a 55 gal? you'll need to add at least 1/2 cup of epsom salt - I don't remember exactly, but check on the 3 reef calculator.
Then add baking soda/borate to raise your alk. Even 7 dKH is too low to keep it at. Get it up to 12 dKH at least.
You should also bring your calcium up to 450ppm.

7.0 DKH is fine for a reef tank, Also 390 CA is fine. I would assume you are actually doing everything right and your corals are now demanding more. As Coral grows the demand for ALK, CA, and Mag will increase. Just adjust your Kalk to compensate. I would also get some Mag buffer either epsom salts or a commercially made product to get your MAG up to 1400. I will assume an adjustment to your MAG will help you reach 400 in your CA
