    Im getting this green hair looking algae all over my sand. dont no wat to do. Does any one no wat it is and tell me how to get rid of it?????:confused:

    turn off your lights for 3 or more day depending on how much you have my lights are currently off also

    Will that hurt my fish or coral?? And will it just dissapear??

    yes then again everybodys tank is different
    in the ocean its like a storm, fish will be fine i dont have coral but i have 8 anemones and there fine

    Wont hurt fish. Most corals do fine. I shut mine off for 2 or 3 days whenever any algae starts to get bad. Everything including my corals do fine.

    how old is your tank?
    if you have coral i wouldnt recommend to turn the lights off for more than a day or two. what i would do is shorten the time of the lights maybe for about an hour or two less for a while.

    i would also recommend getting a CleanUpCrew. (CUC).

    hahaha ya the guy at my LFS told me to lower my lights to 8 hours and they were on for like 12-14 A DAY!!!! so thats prolly wat did it.
