Algae id

    Anyone have any idea what sort of algae this is?
    It has spread over the rock and is like lots of small brown plates.

    Any ideas?

    Ahh yes, I was growing some of that thing, still have a few patches here and there. Plating algae, try searching that on google.

    Thanks for that, it looks like Lobophora Variegata.

    Can't find that much on it but I will keep looking. I think it may be considered a pest but is easily removed.

    I couldnt remember the name of it but its a type of brown macro alge not a bad type to have.
