I've never had this type of algae before on the sand bed. Its green and almost has a crusty layer on top of the sand. All my params are in check and phosphate is still barely reading. Its only on certain spots of the sand bed but there's flow hitting all areas. Will it go away on its own or do I need to manually remove it?

Thanks ladies. I've never had algae like this. It gets crumbly on the sand bed. I had some red slime when I first set up the tank but that went away quickly. I'll just remove it. OFK, if you copy my garden then I get dibbs on the first pic! Lol.
