I have seen many people complaining about algae because of low LED lights. Is it correct that this is the issue only because of less LED lighting? I do not think that this lighting could be an issue for algae.

Don't listen to those people, as clearly they do not know of what they speak. Algae can grow under any form of lighting, where a food source is available.

LEDs will only cause algae issue if they have their lights on for way too long AND have nutrient issues. LEDs are least likely to cause algae over all lighting options

no, just logical imo. Most leds can be dimmed to control intensity so leds are not full strength early or late in the day and spectrum never changes unlike T5 and MH.

yeah but if the leds have a horrible spectrum they could be worst then a nice t5 fixture. i dont think you can say one is better than another. it all comes down to nutrients available for the algae to grow.

Data sheet on that? It's cool, CREE doesn't either, but claims the same. Algae will grow under any lighting as long as a food source exists.

ANY light can grow algae with the given facts of nutrients for it to feed. in our tanks, Spectrum shifts in MH and Florescent lighting tend to offer more red wavelength which is in the spectrum that algaes prefer. LED's do not spectrum shift like the other types of lighting.

Nutrient levels IME are far more important then spectrum although both play a role. The problem is we are not even sure what the perfect spectrum is.

    Ah yes, the perfect spectrum.

Is anything ever perfect? Not even the perfect stranger.
