    Hey Everyone,

Is it possible, if I were to take a small piece of live rock that I have had in my tank for over 1 year to soak it in lemon juice to hopefully kill off the hundreds and I mean hundreds of those little tiny aiptaisia.

I am fully aware of possibly killing beneficial bacteria but were only talking about 30 seconds of a good soak. I would then place it in my premade saltwater to make sure the parameters are within reason before placing it back into my tank.

Is it possible??? I have tried peppermint, aiptasia control, and joes juice, with precision but to no avail.

Has anyone at all ever tried this, or even attempted it?

    Thanks Again
    Matrix :)

if the aptasias are only on that one rock just nuke it and make sure nothings alive, then wash and after a while in the tank it will be live again

+3 on the nuke/boil idea. Get rid of them. I love the smell of dead apthasia in the morning.

I agree. What I have done with success is a 24 hour soak in RO followed by a few days in the sun.
