I started another thread discussing the importance of flow in a coral tank. But I wanted to post this video in another thread asking specifically if my flow is adequate for an SPS tank. I am considering adding a WP25 to my system.

Right now I have about 56x tank volume for flow from 4 powerheads, but it doesn't seem to be very effective.

56x is adequate according to almost every flow formula out there. The issue clould be linear flow vs random and a WP is capable of providing that. You could also declutter the tank of 4 powerhead and sell them to pay for the WP40... I hope thats what you wanted to hear!

I feel like I am getting poor linear and random flow unless I point the powerheads directly at corals.

    Decluttering is another benefit.

    Thanks!

Do it, I have a wp25 and an mp10 in my 40B. Things seem better since adding the wp25

I probably will. I think there is a little stray voltage coming from one of my PHs anyways.

Just bought it. I would still like some input on my flow though. Whether it is/was adequate.
