FIRST - This is the last pic of the clownfish in my tank. He went to the LFS and got sold already! Good for him :)

So after a hard week of work me and my boyfriend decided to go on a spree at the LFS, adding a green torch, a yellow/red carnation, and some awesome LR that looks pretty crazy. And we finally got rid of that *&W(&^&&^ clown

we (mostly him) aquascaped the entire tank, and im very proud of it. ;D my tank is starting to look like a real reef!

also, i now have a tiger pistol shrimp for my randalls goby. i put the pistol outside of the gobys rock he lives in, and right away the pistol started digging. they seem to be getting along great! They are under a rock (dead urchin shell in the front) then they have a 'backyard' and the pistol has a secret side door hidden by a mushroom that wraps all the way around the front of the tank and under the toadstools!

What she meant to say was I grabbed the pistol barehanded and threw him and the urchin inside of randall's burrow....
I'm lucky that little SOB didn't try to snap me! < I'd imagine it hurts a big even at that size.

Anyone think I got the short end of the straw? I want all kinds of new coral :p

Very nice work! The tank looks great!

PS. Hate to be the bearer of bad news but I would return that carnation coral to the lfs ASAP. They are very very difficult to keep alive as they are not photosynthetic and require a lot of planktonic food.

We're aware of it's needs (before we bought it) :)
We've got DTs phyto as well as some of the dead Kents stuff.

Do you really think its that much of an issue? Even target feeding it daily with the pumps off ?

Feeding it isn't the big issue. Keeping your water un-polluted as a result of such heavy feedings is. Therein lies the rub.

They dont like a lot of light either, they are usally found in the wild growing under over hangs and in caves.

It's gonna get a new home soon (the 27.7g acrylic)

Hopefully I can make it work there :)

I feel as if we're gonna need it.

Honestly, do you think I'm being stupid? I figure this is a good leap into Marine Biology...and then some.

And I figure at the LFS it will either die, or get sold to somebody that doesnt know or care anyway.
