I have a cycled tank with 90lbs of dead rock and 80lbs of dead sand. I also have a 3lb live rock that is covered with coraline algae I added.

Now, I'm not talking about micro organisms in the sand, I'm talking about life you can see, worms, etc.

What should I add to give my sand some visible life?

My clowns in QT are almost ready!

Usually peeps get a cup of it from a fellow reefer, the LFS, etc. Then it propagates to the rest over time.
You can also buy it/them online.

Very true, dry sand will also become live overtime by itself in a cycled tank, the seeding with other sand will just help speed up the process.

That would be considered a biodiversity of organisms."Live" sand refers to it becoming bacterially populated.

Yup, those should all be found in a cup of sand from a fellow reefer(+ microorganisms). The pop up pretty quickly too.

I don't know anyone that is a reefer in my area since I'm a noob, also I'm not sure if my LFS will sell me a cup of their live sand but it doesn't hurt to ask.

    Thanks
