I just put a couple of new acropora in my tank. When I receved them they were a brownish color. One was suppost to be pink the other a green yellow. The pink one looks kind of brown still. The other has started to lose the brown color and is showing some green at base. The rest is starting to turn white? is this normal? I have had lights on but raised up. Am I bleaching this with to much light?

What kind of light was it under before? What kind of light do you have? White is usually bad. Is the green at the base the coral or algae?

they were under 20k mh wattage unknown. I think 400watt.Now they are under 150 watt 10k along with actinics. it is the color of the acropora not algae.

Water params are different from tank to tank. IME my acros turned brown also from the stress of moving. The colors came after they settled in. Your lighting is fine. 10k is good for growth, 20k is nice but from Kelvin changes, your lighting is fine.
Yes, white ISNT good. Check your Ph and LAST RESORT... Try to frag the live piece before it bleaches all the way >>> ONLY IF YOU'RE EXPERIENCED!

    lol.. pics always help!
Its better then jumping to conclusions.
    From what you've stated though,
if its not covered by a return policy (live coral),
and it is bleaching, You could frag it so it doesnt keep spreading > given some unknown water condition isn't the reason (like Ph). If your water is PERFECT and you have other stuff growing, save what you can (if it isn't covered under a return policy)

Alot of acro's change color when they change tanks. There color has a direct connection to light level, color, nutrients in the water.
