Hey couple days ago I posted some pics of 2 of my across that were in the upper 3/4 of my tank but were starting to have whiten pigmentation through their branches. Today I moved them to the lower 1/4...to bottom of my tank. I have a blue tip stag horn and a green acro in the upper 3/4 that are doing well. Tank vitals are as follow:

    Nitrates:5 to 10
    Ph:8.4
    Alk: 9.6
    Mg: 1250
    Calcium: 470
Salinity 1.026 have always kept this level
    Temp 78 to 80 degrees

Test kits used are salifert and els.
Lighting 2/250 watt radium hri-t blue bulbs.

Dumb to move to bottom portion with the across or ok...I'm a freak in I always want to make sure they are doing ok...tank is approximate 1.5 hrs established. Thanks!!

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
If you start to see a shift to white or pale in new acropora I think that is safe to move them lower in the tank and let them acclimate further to the lighting. If you start to see them browning out you may have to get the nitrates down to 5 and under.

Have you added any new bulbs? What type of acropora are they? Just curious.

    TIA

I looked at the your other thread regarding this acropora. I agree with Steve Wright that they usually begin to color up if left in the same place, but by 5 months you should have seen a significant shift in colors and not to white or pale IMO. The new bulbs could have prolonged it though. Tough call but if it were mine I would try moving it down.
