I should receive my anemone tomorrow from Reefs2go. I'm not sure if they will include acclimation instructions so I thought I seek out this info on my own just in case. However I can seem to find a definitive answer. Saltwaterfish.com says that coral and anemones should not be drip acclimated while most technical sources says that inverts (doesn't specifically mention anemones) should be drip acclimated.

Which method is better for BTA's? Drip or float?

I'm also getting a sea hare that I plan on definitely drip acclimating.

I float and then pour in small amounts of tank water every 5 minutes for a couple of hours. Kind of like a manual drip.

I ended up drip acclimated the anemone. Seems to be doing ok. I have a few inches of space between my rocks and the back wall so of course that were the anemone decided to settle. :annoyed: Well it was nice looking at it for the little while it stayed in view.

I'll have to take a pic tonight when I get home from work. Day 1 it moved about 1" from the spot I put it. Day 2 and 3 it stayed put. Now on day 4 the nem behind the rockwork. Who knows where it'll be by time I get home. Ugh
