hi shark ive had it a week . its on its stem attached to a piece of LR , yes it has been standing up until today .. parameters all look okay .. im thinking its my lights (waiting for new globe for MH )as i only have regular output 6500k white and 10000k actinic....im hoping it can at least hold off for 2 more days so i can get these lights on to it..

I've had a big one for 18 months & it does some weird things.you think it's dying and an hour later it's in full bloom.See what happens.

It's probably sloughing. Leathers do that from time to time to rid their bodies of detritus, bacteria and other doo doo :)

How much water flow do you have blowing on it? Soft corals appreciate good water flow to help reduce detritus accumulation and aid in the reduction of sloughing(mucus/slime)! Try dosing iodine as well, as it is very important to many living things in a salt water tank!
You may want to try and position it another area within your tank and see if that works better!
