Im thinking about a basic CD but instead of coiling inside of a tube im thinking inside of a black acrylic tank and haveing a closed loop recirculator inside of the bioball area. Kind of like the Ca. reactors

does any one have any drawbacks???

    Thanks

Yes, the idea of the long tube is to remove the O2 along the way so there is on O2 left in the water when it hits the media, in a closed loop you would still introduce O2 to the media

I thought about 100 ft of 3/8in water line coiled in side the tank would take care of the o2 and then just have the recirculator in the anaerobic chamber along with the biomedia the recirculator would be closed loop so its only moveing the o2-less water, that way the o2-less water will react with more of the biomedia. Maybe a little more efficient? I dont want to use a big pvc pipe because of space restrictions.
