    Hello reefers,
It's been a long time coming, but im finally ready to start sharing my tank. I've had several reef tanks in the past, but sold them in 2010. In 2014, I enrolled in nursing school and thought it would be a great idea to have something relaxing to look at.

Here's a video of my old tanks

    &

With my new tank I wanted to go with a minimumlist aquascape look.

    Equipment so far.
    75 gallon tank
    Black stand from petsmart
Glass holes 1500 GPS complete kit + two returns
Windriders creation custom sump. (40 gallon breeder with 11 gallon refugium in the middle.)
    Bubble magus curve 7
Jecod DCT- 8000 (I ordered the DCT-6000, but they sen't the 8000. Lucky me )
    BRS RO/DI
    Two Aqueon heaters
    Marcos dry rock & sand

Now I have a question, the day before I put in my protein skimmer my ammonia read 0.25. Today, after 3 days of the protein skimmer being in the sump, ammonia is now reading 0. Has my tank gone through its cycle? Keep in mind I don't fave any fish just a small piece of live rock and algae in my refugium.
This is what it has pulled

Did you add a food source? Have you tested nitrite and nitrate levels? Without those values there is no way to tell if you have cycled.

    P.s. I think you mean minimalist.☺

    Thanks,
Its going on 3 weeks. Week one i had the tank running with just the sand and rock. Week two i added a small piece of live rock to the refugium along with algae. Week three i added the protein skimmer.
