I keep lps/softies under 4x65 watt pcs and just looking to upgrade my lighting with hopefully the added benefit of a timer also my hammer coral doesn't seem to want to open up like it was in the store but it's still healthy..

What do you all recommend under $450?

With softy/ LPS, 4-bulbs should suffice. Does this price include bulbs?

    Hopefully!

I was thinking LEDs but I've seen people switch back from LEDs mainly when using some cheap china ones like ReefBreeders, so I'm just going to go tried and proven.

I switched from led too. Would you be interested in halide/ t-5 combo?

For your tank you can do fine with a 2 bulb fixture.

Interesting, John. Do you think it will get adequate front to back coverage?

Depends on the rocks and how high they are placed. Also if the fixture is in a canopy and affixed to it or directly on the top of the tank.
