So, my grandfateher gave me this soldering gun, it is a wall lenk model ssg100, it says dual heat (40watt and 70watt) but it only has one trigger running the length of the handle. I don't know if it is on 40 or 70 watts when i press the handle. It doesn't have any switches or anything to change the wattage. Anyone know how to change it? Or is 70 watts ok for soldering cree 3watt leds?

As long as the solder melts i dont see why it wouldnt work. It might be a dual trigger, like half way is 40 watts and all the way is 70 watts? just a thought
