    Hey Everyone,

I just ordered a bunch of favia and acan frags and was just wondering if anyone had any pointers. I've kept my duncan and hammer with some pretty nice growth, but could always use some pointers when just starting out with a new coral type (new for me at least)

Here's what I got (pictures attached):

    Farmed Neon Green Maze
    Dragon's eye favia Frag
Yellow brick road war coral Frag
    Bazinga Acan Frag
    Coitus Acan Frag
    Dragon Soul Prism Favia Frag
    Aussie Moon Splatter Frag

Any things to keep in mind?

So you order came in ok? I'm kicking myself for not getting the dragon soul favia! I feed my acans a small crab pellet or mysis a few times a week, my favia I mash some mysis up and squirt it on them! Congrats!

They look great. Keep them low in the tank to keep their colors if you have strong lighting. Give them medium flow and feed them weekly if you keep your water real clean. You can feed them like your other LPS.

Yep, everything arrived nice and healthy. I had it shipped to my work and on every side of the box it had big, bold letters saying "Handle with Care! Keep Warm- Live Animal"

I wonder what the guy in the mailroom was thinking when he brought it up to my desk lol

How about yours? Did you order the 3 Monti Caps from WT?

Thanks! I will probably start feeding them small amounts to get them going.

The one question I always have is what would you consider medium flow? The term just seems so subjective. I've got a koralia 425, koralia 750, and a maxijet 1200 in my tank as powerheads, should i have one aimed to go directly over them or is it better to have indirect flow?

I used indirect flow typically unless it's a smaller powerhead (like your Korallia 425).

Target feeding DEFINITELY helps. I had an awesome acan that got cooked when the heater took the tank to over 100 degrees. Somehow, one polyp survived. I target fed it and target fed it and target fed it. Now I have 25 polyps.

What do you target feed with? Anything different than mysis?
