Alright, I am considering setting up a 65g reef! (Again, big word here CONSIDERING). I have the tank and stand, the tank is not drilled, which is the only problem! I had it set-up about 7 months ago then I moved. I was running 4-96W pc but again, I would like to do SPS & clams, so I will probably have to go with halides. I was thinking of a 29L sump/fuge! Any suggestions on anything I should consider?

    Thanx in advance!

What are the dimensions of the tank?

I would probably do a couple 175w or 250w halides.
If the tank is shallow (maybe around 16" tall or less) you may be able to do just a 250w.
One 400w is always an option too.

Is the bottom tempered? You could drill the side if it is...

    :)

Yeah, I was thinking two 250W but I saw a guy kmagyar and he was using dual 400W 20K. I would rather do a 10K, I think. Altho, right now I do have 2-10K 175W bulbs I can use, if I can find them.

The bottom is not tempered so I could drill it but then I have to put in an overflow box. Not sure yet what I want to do about the drilling thing. Guess I could drill for a 1 1/2" bulkhead in the middle, kinda like what I run on my 20H.

    Thanx

    Dual 400w on a 65? Wow. That's a bit much for me.

Sounds like a cool project, let me know what you do.

By the way, thanks for trying out the gallery, NICE PICS!!
