For over a year i had a 29g Biocube and finally feel its time to graduate from nano and get a larger tank. I found a LFS selling a 60g Deep Blue 24x24x24 Cube and had to buy it. After a few weeks of researching and drawing up plans, i decided on this plan...

    Current FTS: 2-18-13

    FTS 4/23/13

    FTS 8/1/13

    List of equipment:

    Ecotech Radion for light
    Ecotech Vortech MP10
    hydor Power head 500gph
    cobalt 100w heater
20g Tall for sump (from Petco)
    10g for ATO (from Petco)
    Reef Octopus 110 skimmer
    apex aqua controller
    Eheim 1262 Retern Pump
2x BRS 1.1 ML Dosing pumps for CA & ALK
    BRS Biopellet Reactor
    BRS GFO Reactor

i drew this up on sketchup...60g tank up top, 20g tall for a sump on the bottom left and 10g ato tank on bottom right. that box above the 10g is where i will be hiding my electronics for easy access.

they are building lots of new homes on my street so after several dumpster dives, i had the wood i needed, let the build begin!!!!

Very nice job of showing off the depth of the tank with your rock work!

+1 on the wiring. Very well done!

Very interesting way to mount your light. I have a tank of the same dimensions (except a few inches shallower - 45 cube) and am going the radion route as well. I was thinking of hanging it from the canopy, but I see how your method would have cooling advantages. I was thinking of sticking some fans on the side of my canopy to combat heat.

I really like how the canopy swings open - good thinking.
