I have been working on my upgrade for the last month or so, I currently have a 55g that has been running for 23 months. I came across a 140g tall with a built in 30g sump in the back part of the tank. I will be drilling the last chamber down to a 55g sump/fuge. The tank measures 5'x18"30". I am building a custom stand as well as a canopy for this tank to make it just the way I want it. I have collected all my equipment including new lights, new koralia's with the digital controller, and a new skimmer. The rest of my current equipment will be able to work with the change. I will keep posting as my upgrade progresses.

Here are a couple of pics of the canopy and the stand. The stand will match the canopy.

It will slide in thru the front of the stand. Just gotta put the hinges on last. I made it accessible thru the front just in case down the road.

I am having a hard time deciding how to do my return. 2 options.

1-a standard return with a T coming in from the top on the left and right side.

2-drilling a hole thru the chamber box installing a bulk head and wrapping a spray bar across the back.

    Any suggestions.
