So over the years i have broke 2 55 gallon tanks and i save some of the glass left over

Currently I have 4 sheets of 20 inch tall by 4 feet wide glass

2 sheets are from a AGA so the glass is a little thicker

2 sheets are from another brand so not as thick.

I was thinking about making a tank 4ft by 4ft tank 20 inches tall.

    Any recommendations ?

    I like your thought process.

I know there are some tutorials in how to make a glass tank yourself. Read and research as much as you can, to avoid mistakes, and I am sure you will be successful.

Basically what I see ifs you need to razor off all the old silicone, and then you clean the glass with a degreaser, and then you silicone the pieces together.

I read as much as I could on Plywood tanks for several weeks before I got the build plan started for my 193g DIY tank I have nearly completed.
