I was thinking about getting some blue chromis, how many will I be able to have in my tank, and does the tank need to be fully cycled? The only other fish will be a pair of clowns, and a yellow tang.

    Tang police go away.

I think you can edit the first post, click advanced, and you should be able to change the title...I think. Chromis were the fish in my tank and they were in before my tank was fully cycled and mine are still doing quite well.

How many should I get? I want them to school, but I want room for a pair of clowns, and a tang.

    2 Ocellaris Clowns
    2 fire fish
    5 chromis
    1 royal gramma
    1 cardinal
    1 skunk cleaner shrimp.

    Coral. any a can afford.

I really want to, I just didn’t want to many fish. But I don’t see why I can’t have a yellow tang. It would help with algae

people will say i'm crazy but to me the only thing that limits how many fish you can keep(im not talking about ones that get 3 feet long obviously)is how much maintenance you are willing to do.i.e. water changes, and just how territorial the fish you get are,if you avoid the real *****s you can stuff alot of fish in a 55,, just accept you'll be spending alot of money on salt and r.o. water. and that ultimately the more you have the harder the tank will be to maintain
