well the time has come to design a 500 gallon system for sps corals. i have way to much to list for the first post but will add later. the dimensions are 72Lx54Wx30H with a coast to coast overflow. the drawings will help describe the plan to be completed. due to its size acrylic is chosen, glass would be to heavy. schedule 80 heavy duty bulkheads for the system. the tank will have 1 1/4" sides with eurobracing the red is the tank borders, the pencil is the rock formation.

pumps: 2 closed loop, 1 chiller, 1 system
    drains: 6
intake: 5 on the overflow, 5 along the ridge towards the front
    sump: 90
    refuge: 70
    rock: nuked
    sand: nuked, may go bb
    tubines: tunze 6200x4 with controller
    reactor: my creation
    PO4/Si: reactor
skimmer: probably life reef but have a 5' cs8-5-rc on standby
    lights: 6' 3 mh 400w 6 actinic with 4' 2 mh 400w 4 actinic

    enough for now

yup sure does, wouldnt do it justice if you couldnt. the half wall seperating the kitchen and living romm that its going against is 12'x5' so your not only going to be able to see it from the sides but also from the top.

In reality, the pics that you posted dont count. Paper drawings dont count as pics, plz refer to ORD. 66-15. If that was allowed, then instead of taking pics with my camera, I'll just have my 5 yr old daughter draw how she sees the tank.:hehe: But seriously, cant wait to see this dream set up, set up and running. I hope you will be taking pics as you go and posting them.;D A list of equipment would be nice too. lol I live fearlessly through you my friend.....lol Keep us posted. Luna
