I have a 5 gallon nano tank with only a kenya tree coral and a couple inverts. the lighting is currently a 24w PC 50/50 bulb. I would like to keep the current light I have an maybe add a LED light strip. I was looking at this:
Stunner 6 watt 18-8000K 6-453nm LED Strip 12.5" - eBay (item 350317694473 end time Mar-17-10 18:46:44 PDT)Do you think this would help with my lighting? is there a need for more lighting? mostly just want to do soft corals. I like what Steve's tank looked like with the added blue to his nano.

You have plenty for your needs. If you want more blue try to find a fixture that holds two bulbs. Use one 50/50 and the other 460nm blue.

Do you think another fixture would be best or could I just get a LED light bar like the one I listed. I would gain more watts per gallon. I dont know enough about par, but I would think it would be a gain there also.

So it sounds like it I dont need the LED's, but adding it might give more opportunity for higher light corals.

LED's spectrum is too narrow to be much help in a tank. I have read where corals actually decline under LED lighting. I would stay with PC lighting for your tank.
