I am setting up a 125 tank and plan to get two reef breeders photon 24 but if I get everything set up before I get them will it hurt to use my current 48" 4 bulb t5 for a while?

It will be fine, just be sure to keep the higher light demanding corals under the fixture.

Ok great I actually only have a button polyp or two so I can hold off on any others until I get new lights I just didn't want the coralline to die off or anything

I did the same thing and it worked out ok. The sides of the tank obviously did not get lit very well so i kept them bare. My tank was like that for about 4 months till i finally got new lights this past weekend. Good luck!

I had a 3ft 6 bulb t5 on my 6ft tank for a while with a bunch of corals. Worked fine. Just keep them in the center.
