454nm vs. 420nm

    is there any visible difference in the color of these bulbs and if so what is the difference

    Yes there is. The 420 is violet and the 454 is royal blue.

    I've tried the 454 and absolutely love them. Only reason I don't have them now is they were out of stock last time I needed to get them. I'll probably switch back to them when my current bulbs get old.

    I've tried a different 4 light combination every 9 months since I started. the 454 combos are my favorite.

    The Hamilton 14K already has a huge spike at 454. I would feel the best move is to supplement it with 420.
