    i have a 220 just was wondering i have 250 mh now just didnt know what400s would be used for

    Alot of people run 400's over 220's including myself. Just depends on tank depth and what type of corals you are stocking. What reflectors and ballast/ bulb combo are you running?

    Extremely huge tanks (300+) that have sps coral. :)






    (or 220's!) :p

    ahh ok how big of blue led would i need for a nightlight to get the sweet grow ?

    What about people whe are concerned about heating up the tank and want to place the bulb further away from the tank while still maintaining the ability to grow SPS and clams. I think the 400 Watt M.H. would be good for that.
