Don't want to derail the thread but computers and I don't always see eye to eye. What browser should I be using?O.K. I just did.
Firefox and Chrome are the top two leading contenders. Opera users seem to like that one, as well. Security experts recommend anything but IE, so take your pick.
Firefox, with these extensions.
Tab Mix Plus
is a very good start.
Chrome is awesome but google logs everything it does. Not cool.
ya agree on firefox and oh boy Mr Bill .. you got that right ME was brutal!!!
I am no computer expert. So.... how do i get :
Tab Mix Plus
From the Firefox button or menu bar, open Tools->Add-ons, then type (or copy and paste) the name into the add-on search bar. Click Install.
BTW, I also use the Web of Trust extension; it has saved me a few times when newly-installed software tried to direct me to a DNS-poisoned site to register.
Well, My home desktop uses xp pro- but I am now using Google chrome for just about everything.
My new laptop W8, and I'm using GC on that too now.
Interestingly, my company also uses IE for their website- GC doesn't work well?
I'm at work now on GC though, not on their website.
FTR, your ISP logs everything you do, regardless of system, browser, etc. The internet was originally designed for the military-- it was built for tracking and monitoring.
