Giving you a bump to your thread Vinny. This could be interesting to follow hearing what people have to say and to hear what effects the lights have had on corals.

    TANK SIZE: 65 Gallon

    TANK DIMENSIONS: 36"x18"x24"

    LED BRAND: RapidLED

WATTAGE AND NUMBER OF FIXTURES: 2- 14"x6" Heatsinks

BULB WAVELENGTHS/NUMBER OF LEDS: Total-48 LEDs, 18 rb, 24 cw and 6 nw

OPTICS: 60* on the front row of LEDS, 80* on the rest.

    Drivers: Meanwell x4

    SUPPLEMENTAL LIGHTING USED: None

DURATION OF LIGHT CYCLE: Right now on for 6 hours (Battling a small algae outbreak) and Haven't bothered to set up the sunrise/sunset features yet lol.

Fixture Height: Approx. 32" from sandbed

TYPES OF CORAL IN THE SYSTEM: Acan Lord, Blasto Welsi (2- one red and one Blue), Torch, Bubble, Yuma Ricordea, Challice and Candy Cane. Also not a coral but there is a Condy in there and he is doing great.

HOW LONG HAVE YOU HAD THEM: 4 months

PLEASE SHARE YOUR EXPERIENCE: So far I love them, all the corals are doing great. No heat issuses, no energy consumption issues. My only complaint is that my canopy isn't that high so I would like to build a new one to raise the lights slightly, I have a little spotlighting, but it should be said that it is only very slight spotlighting. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

    TANK SIZE: 27 gallon Cube

    TANK DIMENSIONS: 20x18x20

    LED BRAND: Aqua Illumination SOL

WATTAGE AND NUMBER OF FIXTURES: 1 Fixture at 75 watts, dimmed down to around 50% power.

BULB WAVELENGTHS/NUMBER OF LEDS: 8 Cool white leds, 8 Blue leds, and 8 Royal Blue leds

OPTICS: pucs on the outside of of the fixture are 70 degree, the 4 pucks in the middle are 40 degrees.

    SUPPLEMENTAL LIGHTING USED: None

DURATION OF LIGHT CYCLE: 12 hours total with moon lighting.

FIXTURE HEIGHT FROM SANDBED: 12 inches AWL, and around 30 inches from sand bed.

TYPES OF CORAL IN THE SYSTEM: Softies, lps, sps.

HOW LONG HAVE YOU HAD THEM (LEDS): 4 months

PLEASE SHARE YOUR EXPERIENCE: Love the controllablility of the Aqua Illumination, i can customize the color of my tank by changing the % of power to each color of LED and I can make full use of 14 different times if id like. although i really only use 4. Growth has been pretty good from what i can tell, but ive never had any other type of lighting on any tank.

Thread definitely has merit; consolidating all this into one place.

    Anyhow:

    TANK SIZE: 120 long

    TANK DIMENSIONS: 60X18X24

LED BRAND: CREE (Cool White XP-G, Royal Blue XR-E, Warm White XR-E)

WATTAGE AND NUMBER OF FIXTURES: Each diode 3W, 2 identical fixtures (DIY) (6x24)

BULB WAVELENGTHS/NUMBER OF LEDS: 24 Cool Whites, 8 Warm Whites, 28 Royal Blue

    OPTICS: 60deg (XR-E), 65deg (XP-G) Fixtures hung ~16" off the surface

SUPPLEMENTAL LIGHTING USED: Daylight: none; Night: R2 Solutions Moonlights (x2)

DURATION OF LIGHT CYCLE: Royal Blues: 10 hrs/day, White: 6 hrs/day

TYPES OF CORAL IN THE SYSTEM: SPS, LPS, Zoas, Mushrooms

HOW LONG HAVE YOU HAD THEM: 14 Months

PLEASE SHARE YOUR EXPERIENCE: One of the best things I've ever done. I'd never light a reef any other way. Good growth & great color; no heat & cheap to run. There's enough light to keep SPS at the sandbed (or anywhere else in the tank).

Thanks for everyones participation so far. I have noticed that threads like these draw new members. I guess adding the word review to the title helps it come up on searches people are doing. Evolved's contribution made me add fixture height. This is very important to people who want that info. Thanks again!!

I was referring to distance from the water's surface, but height from the sandbed (or tank bottom) can work too.

I added to my post both the distance to the water level and to the sandbed.
