Very sweet set up :) what made you decide to put a sump on it? Have you left the back chambers empty?

I decided to add the sump for a area to put chaeto, sustain a larger pod population, and just to increase overall water volume since the 29g really turned into like 15g after all the rocks and sand. The first chamber is empty, second has the filter that comes with it gutted of its carbon and filter material so that its just the plastic screen which i put filter floss on for the water to run over and I can also add a bag of carbon on it when I want, the third chamber is where my DIY auto restarting pvc overflow is which feeds the sump. I appreciate the compliments.

Great looking biocube. How exactly did you set up your overflow?

Ok, I just found this thread lol. I have some questions. Do you think that it would possible to drill the 3rd chamber so I could leave my hood on to run the PVC pipes? I like the idea of a sump, but haven't figured out how to do it so that I can keep the same hood on it. I have 3 small kids that like to put their hands or things in fish tanks lol.
