This is kind of a two part question. First would a 250w MH with T5 ho sups be to much for a 29 gal reef? Then second, i had a reef tank with bryopsis ( i think ) on the rocks, but they have been dry for over 6 months, should i bleach them still?

I have a 150w halide over my 29g. I have SPS in there. 250w would be too much IMO and i think a 150w is great.

Then should i just go with T5's and no MH, i like the look of MH lighting.

MH is alot better IMO..Although with heat thats another thing. With my tank, if i leave the heater on during my MH is on, the heat will go up to 85.7 no problem. If I shut off the heater about an hour before the MH comes on. The heat only gets up to 82.3. I have no fans, but definitly go with MH. But do a 150w

150w Im pretty sure are the more common. Do you have a biocube? or standerd 29g? You could get a viper 150w or 70w and be okay(But go with the 150w and get a pheonix 14k, then you wont need actinics)
