    Hi all,

I have been looking to upgrade for some time now and finally found a tank that is a decent size for my apartment. I picked up a Marineland 27 gallon Cube yesterday. It came with the tank, stand, and the Marineland double bright LED fixture.

I dont have all the details completely worked out at this point in time but i have an idea of what equipment I want to use. I plan on sumping it and the stand leaves me a decent amount of space to work with. I know i can fit a 10 gallon under there, but i want something larger. Any ideas? As for the light it came with, its pretty nice and would work well for FOWLR set up so i'm trying to sell it on craigslist to help fund the build.

    FTS as of 4/27/12

cube tanks always do have a certain appeal to them, i find them way more attractive than the common rectangular tanks

i would rockscape it not just to look cool from the front but all four sides, look up rimless cube reefscape on google and theres tons of cool rockscapes that show up. a cube tank is too unique to ruin with the drab classic rockwall design.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
I saw this tank type recently, I think it's a cool cube I like the dimensions of it. Congrats on purchase.

Cubes are definitely growing on me. I love the depth that they provide.

The cubes are nice. Do you plan to drill it? If so, where at?

I can see setting it up for 3 side view but 4 side would be very interesting. An electrical supply on the floor in the middle of the room would make that happen. The cube does have some neat choices.

    Good luck with your project.

Both wrong actually. Im most likely lighting it with a Boostled 135w mu fixture. it will be plenty of light.
