Well, the custom tank for keeks1127s birthday came in :)

20" x 20" x 16"high acrylic. 1/2" drain and 2x 1/4" returns w/ bulkheads in the back. Front and sides are one piece of bent acrylic with a corner radius of about 1/2". Excited !

Now the fun. We have a 12g we will use as a fuge under the stand.
What pump (or gph) would you recommend...and would you have to have any baffles (i'd think not).

My plans were to run a SCWD from the fuge to create a little random flow and supplement that with some korlias.

Anybody have a better suggestion and ideas?

Hmmm...maybe if I be a little more specific.

For the 1/2" drain should I use 1/2 PVC too?
Then for the 1/4" returns use 1/4 PVC ?

What pump brand + GPH would you use?

I was thinking of a closeloop across the bottom and supplement with two korlias on a seio controller. What size PVC would you use for the loop ?

    No pics of the tank?
You don't want to use bigger PVC on the returns than the returns support as they won't be able to handle the added head pressure. What overflow are you going with, is the tank drilled?

If running a SCWD, you should not much else for that size tank to get good circulation. Depends what size pump you plan running. There is a minimum size for a SCWD to properly function.

Decided to not go with the SCWD :(

You think a closed loop + the korlias would be too much?

I'll try to get pics...the tank is at her house and i have her camera :p

Its already drilled acrylic and everything, but the fuge has no drilling, so i'm not sure how to set it up.

Wait...you do have? How long has it lasted? Most people said 4mo...and some have replaced it for years...
Don't think I wanna waste that much time and $, although it would be easier than a closedloop.

I'll see if she can get pics of the tank :) SOOOO pretty. I can't wait.
Were going to run Fiji Pink and Bimini Pink arag-alive :)
