Oh I love it. Cool tank Vinny. Is that part of your Gorgonian from the old tank? Did you move over some Sympodium? Platygyra was from the old tank too.

    Perfect choice of fish.

    Very nicely done. ;)

Yes I couldn't bear the thought of a gorgless tank so I kept a piece which is doing wonderful. I did not keep any Sympodium sorry.
Yes Platy is growing again and its color is much better.
Thanks for the kind words.Still have some bubble algae from the frag system but it is slowly dieing.8)

Cool tank, those are some serious barnacles. Are they real, or if not, may i ask where you found them?

I have some like that, found them on a beach shore, never put them in because I was worried about them becoming a detritus trap.

Vinny, nice tank, I love the gorgonian, hopefully it grows like it did in the 90. I've got a couple photosynthetic gorgs in my tank, none like yours though.

Thanks.Yes they are real I got them at the LFS. Be careful when selecting them as they are often collected attached to metal objects. A few clusters had large pieces of rusty metal imbedded.

Well not that fast I hope. The mother colony went into a custom 500 gallon starfire tank.8) Thank you.The sharknose goby sifts the sand and detritus from the barnacles.Saw puffs of "smoke" in the tank the other day and sure enough he was spitting mouthfuls of sand out.Thought they were just fish cleaners.lol

    Thanks its definitely different.
