    ya the walmart by my house has them in little cups with a bunch of old food decaying at the bottom. the put a bunch of food in there like once a week then leave them, more then half of them are always dead

    5.5 gallons is a nice tank for a fresh water betta ( im guessing this is the fish your speaking of?) i think i know the tank you have. its the same one i use for my ato water.

    i really dislike seeing betta's kept in small bowls they can barely turn around in. ... when i see this it makes me sad. but i think the 5.5 gallon is a nice size.
    i have been planning on setting my fluval edge 6 gallon back up with live plants and a betta. and maybe a pair of cherry shrimp for clean up.

    and please dont put 2 betta's in they will almost surely kill each other :(

    true can't have a betta tetras etc without a 20+ gallon tank!

    i think i'm going to get some more plants and a real cuc instead of 1 snail in my tank right now ...

    the petco where i got my betta keeps the betta holders clean and the bettas are healthy;D

    I guess I'm confused. How many tanks do you have? On another thread you're talking about having a problem with GHA in your tank.
