2 bettas?

    I know male bettas are very aggressive towards each other i wanted 2 in my 5.5 gallon soon to be heavily planted tank! would it work?

    not advised one will eventually kill...they might be ok for a little while, but hormones will kick in sooner (more than later)...even in a big tank.

    not unless you had a divider. If you had 2 females it may work. I have heard of people keeping harems of 2 or more females before. I don't know if that would work in a 5.5 or not. you could try it but you might want to have a back up tank. Don't think 2 male would work.

    Agreed.....In a 5.5 gallon tank one of the bettas would be dead in a matter of days

    male and females together will also kill each other? i learned something yay;D

    what are some good small peaceful fish that could live with my betta?guppies?

    Your tank is too small for a Betta to live comfortably, just likr it is too small for any saltwater fish. We have been through this. MAYBE 3 neon tetras would work, maximum.
