Ok guys as some of you already know I put in an order for a small Ricordea colony from our sponsor AquaSD...

Well it comes in tomorrow (Wednesday) as I mentioned, and I have no clue what to do !

I have a bottle of coral revive. But can someone tell me how to go about it as far as should I drip acclimate first or just dip and put it in the tank?

Also, should I just place it directly on the sand bed at first or do I need to get some egg crate and try and place the egg crate on the sand bed and the colony on top of that?

Also do you guys recommend using any kind of grabber in placing it into the tank or should I just literally grab it and stick my arm in lol and place it?

Any information will be helpful. Also where to put it as in flow / lighting / etc...

    Drip acclimating works well IMO.

I've never drip acclimated a coral in my life (fish and inverts, yes). I temp acclimate, do whatever dip(s) I need to, and toss them in.

The package was dilvered this morning to my house. Once I get home (645 PM) I will do the temp, drip, dip, and place the coral on the sandbed.

One question... If I have old saltwater from the tank thats been sitting in my living room for 3 days, is it ok to use that or reccomend to dip in some water right out of the tank?

No as the temp won't be the exact same.
