For LPS and softies, yes. Our Photon24s will cover 36" of tank no problem

I don't really know anything about LEDs but how high should they be and at what % do they need running also can they be put in a canopy

You will be at 6-8" off the water with 90 degree optics. Start at 25% power and work your way up 5% every few days. They can be put in a canopy, but you must drill holes in the top for the fans, and have fans removing warm, moist air from the canopy. If you keep the air cool, the LEDs will stay cool, shoot for less than 90 degrees (fixture temp, not air temp), the cooler the better.

The 90s are a little tighter, so you will need to mount the light higher. I prefer 90s, as they reduce light spill, and will still work over 36" of tank.

Yes, They can, and the blues and whites/colors can be switched on and off separately.
