Why are you wanting to put halides on a fowlr? Are you planning for a reef later on?
What are the tank dimensions and are you using a canopy?

i want the option to be able to grow some corals later on down the road. the tank dementions are 60x18x25.5 and no canopy. I wanted it to be mostly lighted in the middle and somewhat darker on the sides. I dont know if this will be enough light to be able to see the sides or not it was just a suggestion i got.

For FOWLR, you should set up a few 57.6" T5 bulbs than MH. MH is overkill and one MH bulb won't cover the entire length of the tank and will cast center brace shadow if you put it at the center.

I believe this tank is either AGA 125 or 150 with two center braces. What kind of bracing do you have on your tank?

the tank is 60x18x25.5 and it has a pretty big glass center brace and on the left it has another brace at the end of the tank. ive never seen another one that has the little brace on the end like mine because it only has it on one side

I just did a little research and I think you have GlassCages 125 gallon tall with glass bracing (center and two at each end). Since the center brace is transparent, you won't have shadow issue. If you want to go with MH, can't go wrong with IceCap.
