    Some work, most don't.

    The reasons why are threefold.
    1, some 10g's are tempered
2, they are awfully thin and it doesn't take much to crack them while drilling.
3, Since they are thin, and hanging plumbing can put too much stress on the glass.

I've seen it done, but anyone that thinks about drilling a 10g should be aware of the possible issues.

3/8" glass is about 3 times as thick as the glass in a 10g. It's easy to drill glass that thick.

So I decided to go t5 because i had them sitting around... the cycle is a little more than a week in. the water is really hazy and im pretty sure its due to lack of flow for the first few days and dirt from the sand... any suggestions for how to clean it?

Are you going to be adding more rock? Do you have a filter or anything? I don't feel like reading through the whole thread :)

here are my whole plans for this little guy...
im planning on no filter (maybe an occasional one for a few hours to buff up the water when needed)
    100% Berlin style filtration
a few more rocks from my current tank will be added in a few days
the contents will be mostly zoas and other easy lps (frogspawn, clove, gsp)
hardly any fish will be added... maybe two yellow clown gobies.
A 50-70% monthly water change will be performed.

I am kinda having a go at this new technique seen here: Feature Aquarium: EcoReef One: A New Kind of Nano Reef | Advanced Aquarist's Online Magazine

i was going for the super clean look... like nothing hanging and minimal cords.
Ill just feed them cyclo every few days to keep it looking nice. maybe pin some chaeto in there under some rocks or something
