I was simply stating that that is the max flow a 1inch bulk will take. Sounding like a toilet is more depend on style of standpipe and overflow...
A 1in bulk head will let 800 gph flow thru. I think they are pretty equal
The boxes will be the same whether there is one or two. Is it a corner overflow?. Marineland uses a overflow but I believe you can either get a...
I didn't think there is that much to gain by having the second overflow. I would rather have more swimming room.
If you can, start running GFO (slowly) and carbon, make sure you maintain your water parameters.
M2434 glad you joined the thread. Thanks for your input, seriously. Matt
From the corals I have seen in your pics you should be able to maintain level thru water exchanges only. I don't think you will need to add...
These parameters are not ones I would expect if regulars water changes are being done. Weekly water changes alone should give you higher mg, cal,...
Agreed, and would like to see Ph at around 8.3 and Mg at like 1350. ph and mg aren't causing cyano but your corals would be healthier.
and I was stating that there are a lot of household items that we use in our tank for one reason or another. Yes, some are toxic in high...
Already stated that previously.... Read the thread. Toxic chemicals!? I guess baking soda and Epson salts are toxic too. Right?
Use h2o2. Here is a thread since you have ignored my suggestions http://www.reef2reef.com/forums/showthread.php?t=52084
If you want cyano to go away you can dose 1ml per 10 gallons of hydrogen peroxide H2O2 for 5 days.
Sounds like your taking some of the right steps. It would help if you befriended a more experience reefer to give you another set of eyes. Someone...
You can also completely cover your tank for three days, make sure no light gets in. It will come back unless you figure out what is causing the bloom.
Tip for removing: put a hose in your return line and use the water flow to loosen the cyano, then net the cyano out of the water.
I would assume that your bacteria levels are not fine. Cyano and beneficial bacteria complete for the same resources. Need more information about...
BRS is the best value I have used.
No doubt that this product could not hurt. I current use GFO to control PO4 and I also only use RODI in my tank. I am following this thread because...
Actually some PO4 can help grow coralline algae. Those purple up additives have phosphates in them. Figure out what's adding PO4 and eliminate....
