It's a known fact that iodine can become toxic at a fairly low level. What's more disturbing is all the hoopla about dosing iodine when there's so much we don't even know about the chemistry of iodine in seawater. IMO, dosing any 'trace element' without proper testing can end in a bad way. Here's an excellent article on the chemistry of natural seawater.

Ooooo cool right up my alley.

Unfortunately the product needs to inform the hobbyist that this is best used my someone with intermediate experience in saltwater .

I do already use 4 of their products, with Amnio Acids being among them.

Thanks for the link I will for sure look into it.

Iodine, boron, and strontium all become toxic fairly easily. I'm not sure exactly about fluoride or iron, but I can imagine it wouldn't be good either.

Not sure about amino acids, I do love dosing then though.

I thought i read somewhere that too much amino acids could get you a dino outbreak.
Yeah I saw these on their website, it doesn't look like they are available yet. Maybe they recommend using them if you are using the zeo system, if the zeo system somehow depletes these at the rate they leach out the elements?

I thought i read somewhere that too much amino acids could get you a dino outbreak. I could be wrong.

I have bought hundreds of dollars of their products.

Hmmmm. I still really like Sponge power, the advertised benefits seem legit in my experience. I just do not think that is a placebo effect.

What products have you used? I would not be happy if I spent hundreds on a product that had no benefits.
