I'm not a yuma expert but I don't see a huge problem with him. All my yumas/rics get ticked off sometimes and he's not even closed up too tightly. How long has it been? 3 weeks? 15 minutes?

    Hi Yheartsp

+1 on 32boom - they seem OK, but your right they are not stretching fully extended
    this is where video helps
I note you have 2 x cannister filters and also you mention a wave maker - whats that operating? your specs dont make it clear (I assume not the filters as you want constant flow through them)

I dont think its a light issue IM0

I suspect (dont know, just suspect) it may be a flow issue - shrooms do tend to stay bunched up if they get buffeted for fear of being blown about

i already removed the wavemaker after adding the overhead filter. the overhead filter's flow has been tuned down and the canister output is 400 litre per hour. the flow at the bottom should be rather weak , as other yumas are opening fine. weird little guy, he's the only yuma not opening fully :( btw, he shrinks sometimes and brown stuff comes out of the mouth, in chunks i would say, is that poop??

it is poop - they expell the water they have inside along with wastes and then re inflate with new water

can i ask how much you paid for that Yuma? My LFS had one exactly the same in and it had a price tag of 75 GBP sterling. Wondering how that compares to what you paid?!
