im a noobie, and i had bubble algae all over three rocks, put a small yellow tang and a small 'powder black tang'(what the lfs called it), my bubble algae was gone within a week

 

welcome to 3reef. just make sure you continue to feed them algae based foods as they will need it once your tank is algae free.

 

well, the question might be how big is your tank? and how old too?

 

the tank is just over 4 months now, but the bubble algae was about 2 months ago, got a pair of percs in there in a 60g, the tangs are going to go somewhere else once they get too big, i just fancied having them in my tank for a while

 

&& theres a dwarf fuzzy lion in there aswell, forgot about him
