OK, let me preface this by saying do this if you have the option by reefmonkey
    http://www.3reef.com/forums/i-made/clear-mesh-jump-stopper-121802.html

Because of my skimmer, hob huge, and ac75 i had to modify those plans a bit.
I went with plastic coated wire mesh from a tractor supply store instead.
This is going over my 55g, in anticipation of my voodoo induced by evolved order of 2 divers den wrasses! Both of which cost enough for me to not have an option but build this. I went with this plastic coated wire mesh to help give the build structural strength but i'd highly advise using the plastic BRS mesh reef monkey used.

    My supplies besides the mesh:
1 48" screen window DIY kit from loses
    3 extra elbows for kit
    spline roller
1 can of krylon fusion spray paint!
new fine tooth blade for my saws all!

    because i am that lazy!

Here we go: why i couldn't do an easy square with the mesh.

Looks great! It really works too and lets a lot of light through. Bravo!

All the mesh in this town was either too tight or too wide and i was concerned about light getting through or a fish getting caught. Plus i wanted something i could pull off quick and just put back on, and not fuss.

Thanks, the pics are deceiving, i think cause of the glare the bright blue paint, but it really doesn't seem to block any light noticeably! But my led's are barely breaking a sweat right now, so i have plenty of juice left to add if needed. But i think a flat black will help a bit. Lesson learned.

Thx though, can't imagine losing 2 divers den fish to jumping.

Total cost was about $29 the wire mesh was $10

thx, i hate not seeing the wave action of the water, but it's not worth losing a fish to jumping that cost me as much as those 2 lil buggers did. should be here monday

Well you should never loose a fish going forward. :)

But I am sorry to hear about your loss. :(

Looks great! Are you going to make a small hole or take it off and on every time for feeding?
