I have been using the Spectrapure MaxCap UHE-100 for the last 6 years. Prior to that I had a MaxCap dual membrane and before that a MaxCap 90. Prior to that was an Air Water Ice Typhoon III which was not very efficient for me and prior to that a Watts Premier which was highly modified fo reef use.
I also own a H2O Splash drinking water system presently which uses Spectrapure replacement filters.

It is expensive initially but my calculations show it paid for itself after the second year of usage. The savings in replacement filters, membranes and resins is amazing. Then you figure in the reduced water usage at less than 1:1 waste ratio and the reduced sewage charges and its andeven greater deal. 6 years on the original membrane and its still at 99.43% rejection rate and only a handfull of DI replacements and my tap water is over 550 TDS with CO2 issues.
