Wrassman I am open to ideas. You are a mod here, you could lock the thread if you want. But what about follow ups?

Well, that is why I didn't just lock it or something like that, I wanted to get some others input. My best case scenario would be to have an archive where we put "close" ASAP threads. No one can see this archive but the MODs who work it, and might have to reference it. If xabo comes back with a similar question about this coral, we can just go get this thread and add it to the ASAP forum, along with his new question. What does everyone think of that????

So you want this board to be totally empty when the issues are resolved? hmmm.. I would hate to have to move stuff to just where mods see it because there probably will be some good info in there that may benefit others reading it. You know what I mean?

Matt, you make a very good point. In fact, I like your idea even better. What if we create a separate forum called "Case Files," which will be all of the "ASAP" threads with all the junk like this edited out. Then, it becomes an excellent reference tool for anyone, beginner or advance aquarist, to go through and do case by case studies of individual problems. How would I handle this? Would I have done anything differently? Was this handled correctly?

Now, obviously, we don't have enough of these to form the "Case Files" yet. So, we just let them accumulate over the next couple of months until we do, then it will be a matter of cleaning the "ASAP" forum every month or so.

What does everyone think of THAT ? ;D

    I like that!

Ideally I think it would be nice to have a board or sub-folder within ASAP that we can move 'case files' too. Would that be cool? I will look into it...

    :)

I'm all over it!!! I think the "Case Files" idea is a good one. Whatever you can come up with as far as the mechanics go, I'm sure will be fine. We have the right idea now, and we are on the same page, so we know it will work.
